It’s certainly been a busy start to 2018 at Wachsman. The blockchain space is developing at an increasingly rapid rate, and we remain excited about and committed to our mission of helping leading companies advance their goals of leveraging this technology to solve global problems in a variety of industries.
Even in the fast-growing blockchain industry, there’s always room for further expansion. As we kick off Q2, we wanted to look back on some of our most significant milestones to date this year, and share our vision for creating a better, brighter 2018 in cryptocurrency.
In February, CEO David Wachsman announced our plans to expand our global team to at least 100 employees this year. We have now hired more than 65 employees across two offices in New York and Dublin, and look to continue growing our international team of former journalists, public relations professionals, and events managers in Q2 (and beyond) to provide our blockchain clients with practical advice and guide their communications strategies as they grow and scale.
Not only are we committed to finding top talent, but we are dedicated to cultivating it as well. This past month, Wachsman visited Career Zoo, Ireland’s premier career networking event, and there spoke about the myriad career opportunities in cryptocurrency with the country’s top talent and leading employers.

Over the past three months, Wachsman has made its mark on blockchain-based events around the world in 2018, showcasing our clients’ unique value propositions to a diverse community of interested end users and industry enthusiasts. In March, some of the Wachsman team traveled to TokenFest in San Francisco, California, a two-day networking event focused on the business and technology of tokenization. The event hosted more than 1,000 thought leaders including CEOs, venture capitalists, regulators, and developers, all discussing the future of the industry.
Turning eastward, our team sponsored TOKEN2049, the largest digital asset event in Asia. Hosted annually in Hong Kong, the event invites the some of the leading names in crypto to build brand awareness, form partnerships, and share knowledge. For our clients in particular, TOKEN2049 was an extraordinary opportunity to introduce their concepts and products to audiences in one of the fastest-growing regions in the world for blockchain and cryptocurrency adoption.
Most recently, our team had an opportunity to support our clients at LendIt Fintech USA 2018 — one of the best-known events in fintech innovation with over 5,000 attendees, 1,000 investors, and 600 banks. With mainstream sponsors like Deloitte and Visa, the large-scale event provided our clients with a platform to demonstrate the value of cryptocurrency through expert panels and workshops.

At Wachsman, our objectives have never been clearer. As Q1 comes to a close and Q2 begins, we can only hope to continue turning once lofty ambitions into a tangible plan of action.
